Switch Job and Gala Night Dinner

Its been a while I missing from Joe's tag and my blog. I am kind of busy at this moment. Busy to get new job hehehehehehehe. I have been busy updating my online resume in JobsDB and Jobstreet. And now I am preparing resumes for Oil and Gas Company. Last Friday I went to Oil and Gas Exhibition in KLCC and I noticed some major companies in O&G needs Environmental Consultant/Exec or Health, Safety and Environmental Engineers/Managers.

Hopefully They can give me chance to introduce myself to them and offer them my knowledge and experience to them.

Why I want to switch job? Tough question if this is posed by the interviewer. So what would be the best answer then? Hmmmmmm ........ tough huh. OK, to be frankly I know the pay from O&G always lucrative compare to what I am recieving right now. But I just cannot give that answer right. They will think that I just after money, eventhough the fact that it is true.

I have longing to be working with O&G company ever since Arc work with O&G vendors. That is one from the many reasons why I took Environmental Engineering for my Master. I could have took MBA or Master Science in Electronic if I really want to stay in M*m** but I reckon I had enough here. I want to make new endeavour, a new air to breath and live. After all I care too much with my environment that I do not want the industries to jeopardize them. And normally O&G and petrochemical plant always associated with environment problem........... Can I give this as my reason to swith job ..........huh what ever la budak.

Enough la pasal tukar keje. Just pray for me that I'll get what i wish for. Nanti karang aku belanja ayam golek if I get the job hehehehehehe.

Early June, for the very first time, my company held a Gala Night Dinner. I tell you, for the very first time after almost 20 years in operation. Even Datuk Seri JJ also surprise that we had not had appreciation night all this while. Ehhh boleh ke aku jadikan reason utk swith job hahahahahaha. So the theme for that night is Red and Glitter. The dinner was held at Mandarin Hotel and the main artist that night was Amy Mastura. Amy Mastura is one of my favourite artist (Other than Sheila Majid and ooopppsss sorry Ella....... CT Nurhaliza sorry memang tak pernah minat langsung). Hehehehehehehe, look at my picture, red and glitters. I just try to be sport. I bought the butterfly and flower at Suria KLCC. It look nice and match the red colour. I thought it wasn't mee that night. But heiiiiii, its the record record, the first time we had Gala Night Dinner so I tell to myself come be sport and enjoy the dinner. I had a good gala night dinner that night.

There are 60 lucky draws that night. When I picked the ticket from the HR, I pick the number that all the chinese think is ONG, # 00393 tapi hampeh. I dont get anything but I am happy that some of my technicians get handphone and flat screen TV as well as Parkson vouchers. I am happy for them.

The odd or chances to get the prize is high but I am not lucky enough to get anything. Dapat beg galas sebagai Door Gift pun I am more than happy.

I still need extra guitarist

Arc asked me to play Bukan Kerna Nama by Ramli Sarip the other day. She had not heard me play that song for quiet some times.

I told her that I could run the fret for that song and I dont seem to have any problem with that chords. She wanted to hear, she insisted, and I played. She said the tune is a little bit strange. Well ................ the guitar wasn't tune properly as I do not have the gadget to tune the guitar. Since I am novice, I found myself difficult to tune with the aid of my own ears. But don't worry, I'll get the guitar tune soon from my expert neighbour.


Off late, I played Father and Son by Yusof Islam and Lady Starlight by Scorpions. Father and Son was Cat Steven Last Song in his last concert in Wembly back in the 70's before he devoted himself with Islam teaching. Today this song is made popular by English group apa la namanya lupa pulak aku. huh ....... whatever.


Lady Starlight is a very old song. I dare say not many friends in Reban Ayam knows about this song. Probably Bobby and Aecoque know ........ not to mentioned Anne. If she nows Love Song by Tesla, she must know this song as well. I don't know whether I play this song or not during Gegar Ria. Just wait and see. I am longing to play Everybody Hurts by REM. I am an avid fan of REM. I'll play that song.

That night, thus far its only me and Bobby that are confirmed to play the guitar. I'd like to ask Wan to play along but Angah banyak songeh pulak. She told us that her husband wasn't good enough to play with us. Hellooooooooooooo .......... who do you think I am? An expert graduating from Berkeley or Man Kidal protege. I am neither expert nor proficient in playing guitar. I am still novice and I am still learning. Everyday I spent 20 minutes playing guitars. So Angah, Wan and me sama ajer. masing masing baru belajar.


I know Bobby and Po good with guitar. I wanted to asked Po to play guitar together with us. And I'd like to ask Aecoque play together as well. This is something that I wish for, 5 Men with Acoustic Guitar. Although we could not play Love Song by Tesla I reckon the plucks and the strums from 5 gentlemen will make that night something to remember.

Aku selalu berharap aku boleh main gitar sebagus Tesla dengan lagu Love Song itu. Tapi apakan daya aku masih terkial kial lagi dengan scale learning untuk gitar ini. Hanya mampu untuk plucking dan strumming ajer.

Anyway, Pak Dee and I are preparing some songs to be played on the Gala Night. Pak Dee wants to play Search. Aku alright ajer. Dan aku diberitahu Pak Dee nak berduet dengan Ratu Mic aka Lady Fara untuk lagu nurul dan ajai ke ........ aku, layannnnnnnn ajer la. hehehehheee

Tapi aku sendiri ada lagu yang aku rasa nak main. Nombor wahid aku nak main lagu ciptaan Ramli Sarip; Aku Menulis Bukan Kerna Nama. Nyanyian Ramli Sarip bersama temannya. Lagunya merdu dan bait baitnya puitis dan mengajar kita tentang hidup. Aku rasa aku menulis bukan kerna nama memang kena dengan diri kita yg berblogging nih.

Lagi satu yang aku nak main adalah lagu Everybody Hurts dari kumpulan R.E.M. Lagu simple tapi masih mampu menusuk kalbu hehehehehe. Mungkin Joe nak dengar lagu Soul Asylum, Runaway Train tuh. Yg tuh pun aku boleh main juga. Tapi apa apa hal pun aku akan berunding dengan Pak Dee dan Wan Angah tentang pemilihan lagi utk malam itu. Kena Prektis betul betul nih. Pak Dee balik dari Kanada ajer ingat nak terus prektis la.
